Although you need to spend a few seconds strapping your baby into the harness, you may find that the Rabbitts™~Mat actually saves you time. Because your baby is held securely, they tend to wriggle less and may even, to your surprise…. relax, especially as they get older. You can also have both hands free, when you need to. It’s therefore quicker and easier to get the old nappy off and the new nappy on.
However, the Rabbitts™~Mat is primarily a safety device, just like baby car seats. Most injuries in the home come from babies falling off high surfaces such as changing tables, beds, etc. Even if you turn round for a few seconds to grab some baby wipes your baby could roll off.
The Rabbitts-Mat is more than just a mat with a harness. It uses a mathematical formula called ‘The Anchoring Principle’. When the baby rolls, its weight and the effort he or she produces to try to roll over is spread evenly throughout the product.
